Sunday Worship 8am and 10am -
in-person worship, Zoom, and Facebook.
We feed people in mind, body, and spirit through prayer, music, and opportunities to learn about the diversity in our Dearborn community. We believe that we are called by God to dismantle systemic oppression, and that work begins with each person individually. We believe that our diversity reveals the expansive nature of God's self. This revelation calls us to acts of justice informed by our faith in the teachings of Jesus. We aim to live this out in all of our relationships, but especially through the Partnership in Faith with Christ Church and Mother of the Savior, between English speaking and Arabic speaking Christian congregations and our investment in building bridges with our Muslim sisters and brothers.
IThe Plaza is a new addition to the church intended to enhance the entrance, enabling greater hospitality for gatherings such as the receiving line for weddings or funerals. Open to the public, the Plaza includes sitting walls, perfect for reading or relaxing, and a drinking fountain for humans and dogs.
The church offers a free and open to the public outdoor summer concert series on select Friday nights during July and August. The concerts generally occur on nights other than when Dearborn is hosting its Friday night music in the park. Local musicians play for free or a small free-will donation. People are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and picnic supper, including beverages of your choice. Wine and beer are allowed, when consumed responsibly.
Sunday mornings, from June until Labor Day, we offer a 9am outdoor service. This short, just the essentials, service is perfect for those who want to worship but also wish to spend the day outdoors. It includes all the components of Sunday worship: scripture, prayers, music, a meditation, and Holy Communion, but within a 25 minutes service.
