The Role of the Vestry
     What is the Vestry and what does it do? The Vestry does the mission and ministry of the church working through other people. We lead by example. We represent the wishes of this church and make decisions according to its understanding of Christ's calling even when parishioners disagree. We create budgets and vote about financial and material things, but we are not a Board of Directors --even though we are a legal entitiy under the laws of both the state and the church. Rather we are a Board of Stewards of our people and resources.
